Theatre Masterclass has been created to help up and coming technicians, carpenters, dressers and anyone else wanting a career backstage, by bridging the gap from college/university to full time work in the industry.

As we know the recession is happening and that makes it difficult for young enthusiastic people to further their education due to the spiraling cost of university fees. Theatre Masterclass is the alternative that you need to learn from professionals in the industry that will give you the knowledge needed, before you're thrown in at the deep end in your first job as a technician in a Theatre or on Tour.

This will also be helpful for university students ready to apply for jobs in the industry. We feel that their is a lack in confidence from first time employees that are starting out. Theatre Masterclass will be a place where you can ask those questions before you start your first shift. Take Masterclasses in the fields you enjoy and really understand what it takes to work in the Theatre Industry at this moment in time.

Obviously nothing is free. But our prices are so much more reasonable than university fees. Although you won't receive any certificate for being a part of this website. You'll still gain everything you need to succeed. This being written by a Stage Manager of one of the biggest receiving Theatres in the country, who never trained in Technical Theatre at all.
